Oklahoma City, July 18, 2019 - Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. (KSM) has promoted JP Cotton to West Texas Finance Manager where he will work with regional customers to secure financing for their equipment utilizing the company’s extensive network of lending partners. He brings over 15 years of combined heavy equipment and finance experience to the position and has been a resident of West Texas for over 25 years. Cotton will office in Lubbock, Texas where the heavy equipment distributor’s brand-new facility is expected to open in early fall 2019.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to grow our presence in the West Texas market,” said Cotton. “I look forward to working with our finance and sales teams to ensure we provide our customers with the right financial options that make it easy and affordable to purchase the equipment they need.”
Cotton has worked for KSM since 2017. Prior to his promotion, he served as a heavy equipment territory manager in Odessa, providing customers with effective equipment solutions to meet their application needs, but his relationship with the heavy equipment distributor goes further back. Cotton first encountered KSM during his time as an Area Manager for Werk-Brau, where he focused on building relationships with dealers throughout Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas to supply them with the right heavy equipment attachments for their market and sales goals.
